There are several very good reasons for young footballers to join Yate United
Football Club. We will try to answer any questions that you may have:
- What does the club do to ensure the safety of it's players?
Every
coach or team manager is vetted through the FA CRB Unit. We have also introduced all of the recommendations of
the Safer-Soccer initiative launched by the Avon Youth League in conjunction
with the Avon & Somerset Police Child-Safe Scheme. Ask the Secretary for
a copy of our child protection policy and guidelines.
- What does the club do to train it's
coaches to treat an injury to a player?
It is the club's stated
intention that all coaches and team managers will hold first aid or
treatment of injury qualifications gained through recognised sources such as
St John's Ambulance, Red Cross or the Football Association. We are well on
the way to achieving this and a simple question to the Club Secretary
regarding the age group or team that interests you will enable us to update
you on this situation.
- Do the team managers and coaches hold
any recognised coaching qualifications?
As with treatment of
injuries and first aid for players, it is the club's intention that all
coaches will be suitably qualified through Junior Team Leader courses run by
the County FA, or through nationally recognised coaching courses. Ask the
secretary about the team or age group that interests you. All our
Managers and Assistant Managers are at least level 1 qualified.
- Do you have Charter Standard Award?
Yes we were awarded the Charter Standard Award in 2007
